Heritage With Heart
Ken Garff Automotive is one of the largest dealerships in Utah, with several locations nationwide. This family-run business has a long, rich history that began with Ken Garff establishing his first dealership back in 1932. The company wanted a museum-quality installation for their new corporate headquarters that celebrated the history and achievements of Ken and the subsequent generations of the Garff family, as well as signal of the growth and influence of the company as a whole.
I began by conceptualizing and designing the project, then collaborated with the Garff family to filter through family scrapbooks, study their history, and identify key events with the help of a copywriter and the Garff marketing team. I selected materials, coordinated site surveys, restored and color corrected images, prepared nearly 200 production files, and worked with vendors and production staff to ensure quality. Throughout the process, I maintained regular check-ins and meetings with the client, culminating in a trip to Utah to oversee the installation. The year-long project was rewarding, and the Garff family and executive team were extremely pleased with the final result, which is now a permanent feature at their corporate headquarters.
